St. Mary's Soccer Community Cup (formerly Target Cup) and Claire’s Cup is scheduled for Saturday, November 16 (U8-U14 divisions) and Sunday, November 17 (U15-U19 and Adult divisions) at Chancellor's Run Regional Park.
This 4v4 small sided tournament is a great way to close out the Fall season with your recreational, recplus, or travel teams. There is even an adult division for the parents and coaches who want to show off their soccer skills!
The Claire's Cup portion of the weekend is a charity event which raises funds for a St. Mary's County child facing a serious medical challenge. This year’s Claire’s Cup honoree is Landon Finch. Be sure to check out our website with the article on Landon and his battle with Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare, catastrophic, lifelong form of epilepsy that begins in the first year of life with frequent and/or prolonged seizures. Landon began having seizures at 4 months old and was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome at the age of 6. St. Mary’s Soccer is eager to share Landon’s brave story with our soccer community.
